Kit dearest!!! WHAT A FRENCH and fabulous header you have here! And those peonies???? I remember when I was living in Nice. Oh dear, every morning was a treat to wake up early and hit the streets and watch the merchants open up their shops, smell the pleasant odor of baked goods issue out from those little bakery windows and then go to the Saleya open market. Thank you for this lovely memory! AND thank you for stopping by to hop on the plane to Paris. Do come back next week to follow the links to the city of lights!
Dear Anita! how lovely to see you! I did not know you LIVED in Nice, one of my all time favorite cities! Love Cours Saleya Mondays flower markets, what a treat to live there! I will indeed be boarding the plane for Paris via Castles, etc this Friday... looks like a wonderful adventure!
Peonies are my all time favourite flowers... and en masse are too divine! I am in France at the moment.. and watching the Jubilee!! This world is so small !! Jenny
This is wonderful, love the image of the bundles with Lavender !!! A beautiful plant, I use dried Lavender seeds when I make small cushions and hearts. They are always a favorite..
Its the details of our lives I think that in some respects make the impact. Its only once in a while the big picture matters. I loves these photos of the details.

Dearest Kit .... How are you and how was your incredible trip? The peonies and the lavender are stunning and so remind me of our beautiful Provence. I can't wait to see more but I know you are probably still very jetlagged and exhausted. Kit I am coming to New York in December and I don't know if you will be there but if you happened to be in the area I would so love to meet you. I have already organized with Karina to meet for a day of fun in the Big Apple on Thursday 6th December for lots of bubbles, shopping and all that New York entails!!!!!! can't wait to see more of Provence love and best wishes Franny ps I know you are in San Fran and it is a long way from New York but if by chance you might have been there at that time it would be incredible to meet you!
I cannot think of anything that smells better than fresh bunches of lavender, seriously, I could almost smell them as I looked at that picture! And my grandmother always had big peony plants in the garden by her front door - wow, your post took me back to happy times and made me smile. Thank you for that :)
waauw!! that blue lavendel, and the beautiful roses! When you come to Holland you can buy them for 3 euro! But we do not have so much Lavendel! kind regards! mieke

My goodness that lavender is amazing! So deep and rich in color. Mine never gets that deep of purple. What am I doing wrong??
ReplyDeleteThis particular bunch of lavender was grown in Sault, in Provence... must be the soil! :)
DeleteActually I think the pH of the soil does affect the deepness of the lavender color, I will check into this too
happy gardening and homebuilding.. I'm now a follower of your blog!
