Hello Kit,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your sweet gift :) Your list sounds wonderful.
I need some advice on throwing a Baby Shower....have you done one before? I am due to throw one in 3 weeks...a Boy Theme! Any ideas?
bravo Kit, a well deserved award! maryann
ReplyDeleteHI Corine! thanks so much...very kind of you!
ReplyDeleteA baby shower..how fun!..hmm...a boy theme..I'll do some thinking..we did one a little while ago where the Mom wanted a "green" theme and asked for gently used baby clothes..we ran with the idea and put a clothesline up, and hung the little outfits on the clothesline, then had baskets filled with (new) diapers and baby supplies; then had a big toy truck filled with wrapped presents..it came together really well, but I don't have any pictures! lots of balloons..
We did it mid-afternoon in the fall...so it was kind of at tea/cocktail time, which is a good time to entertain..neither lunch nor dinner time! Little finger sandwiches and petit fours with either tea or champagne..it was fabulous!
have fun, keep us posted!
Kit
Hi Maryann, thanks you are so kind!

I absolutely adore your 10 Things that make me Happy, its just so delightful to hear that there are amazing beings out there who can share and feel the same way! Hope you've been having a great week so far. Over here in Toronto, its raining cats and dogs, haha. Lots of love, xoxo
ReplyDeleteDear Kit
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much for your lovely comments ~ if I could get to have Versailles to myself and some wonderful friends that would be my ideal Marie Antoinette moment! You are so sweet and I so love your 10 things..... my favourite is the lemons, croissants, quiche lorraine, coffee and entertaining! Love it! Also, the way you descibed swimming in a pool being similar to a Monet moment! Perfect comparison.... I love the impressionists and actually one of the American impressionists Maurice Prendergast has long been a favourite.
Beautiful post as always and congratulations!
Hugs M.A. the 2nd
